The GCS Triad Racing was formed by the merger of 3 great New England Running Clubs: The Gate City Striders of southern New Hampshire; the PR Racing Team of Maine and central New Hampshire; and the Moose Milers & Marathoners. Over the years these three teams have won numerous titles on the state, local, and even national levels. 2007 to date has the team in strong position to defend it's titles in the USATF New England Gran Prix Series, as well as in the Maine and New Hampshire state Gran Prix Series. |
Bill Spencer Lead M70+ Team To Another National Championship!!!
Bill Spencer & Jack Kick won individual Gold Medals in the Male 70+ and 75+ Age Groups at the USATF National Club Cross Country Championships in West Chester Ohio this morning to lead our Male 70+ Team to their 2nd National Title in 2 years. Harry Carter, Bronze Medalist at 70+ and Jerry Levasseur rounded out the team.
20 Triad Racers ventured to Ohio to represent the team and all ran well on a difficult corss country course in very cold weather. Milt Schumacher narrowly missed an individual medal in the Male 60+ division to lead the team to 4th place. Rod Viens led the Masters team to a 13th place finish, and Nathan Brigham led the Open Team to a 36th place finish against the best club teams from all over the country. There were more than 70 teams and 400+ runners in the open race.
